"Grace Dodge: A Woman of Her Times" is the third in a series of virtual exhibits on the Library's Web site honoring distinguished Teachers College educators. The exhibits showcase selections from the Library's collections and provide the opportunity for the Library staff to develop and apply information technology skills to traditional librarianship. Each exhibit has been designed and executed by a cross-departmental volunteer team.

The scholarship and materials of the Library's Special Collections Department form the heart of the exhibit. However, the search for images to use in the exhibit soon expanded to the collections of Phyllis B. Dodge, the Cleveland H. Dodge Foundation, the Phelps Dodge Corporation and the YWCA of Greater New York. All of the photography in the section dedicated to the architecture and people of Dodge Hall is original. The traditional bibliography is complemented by a link to the Waypages Grace Dodge Search Page where researchers can use ten preprogrammed search engines to search the World Wide Web for more information about Grace Dodge. The traditional bibliography will soon be enhanced with full-text versions of such works as A Brief Sketch of the Early History of Teachers College written by Dodge in 1899. The section on the Dodge family brings the exhibit forward in time and is decorated with original photography of architectural detail from Dodge Hall.
