Ohio's Columbus State Community College is receiving a boost in enrollment thanks to Ohio State University students who are filling its classroom seats.  Jim Jacobs, associate director of TC's Community College Research Center, said this reflects a growing trend among students who are looking for the best value based on cost and convenience. 

For example, CSCC courses cost about half the tuition charged for OSU classes, and some students feel more comfortable in smaller classroom settings.  Jacobs said to expect more students to blend community and four-year college classes at all but the top 100 elite colleges and universities in the future.
