Hate Crime Incident at TC
To the TC Community:
As most of you know, the police were here yesterday morning because a hangman's noose was discovered on the office door of one of our African American faculty members. The incident has been reported to the New York City Police Department (Detectives Bureau of
Today at 3:30, in the Cowin Conference Center, we will hold a town meeting to discuss the issues and feelings raised by this incident. The meeting is open to all members of the TC community. It is closed to the media and people who are not affiliated with TC.
The TC community and I deplore this hateful act, which violates every Teachers College and societal norm.
