CCRC's Tom Bailey on Seattle NPR Station Discussing the New Federal Boost For Community Colleges
Thomas Bailey, professor of economics and education and founding director of the Center for Community College Research, was part of a show on KUOW, Seattle's public radio station. Bailey said he was happy to see President Obama's recent commitment of $12 billion of federal funds to community colleges. Bailey said community colleges, which enroll as many as half of all the nation's college students, play an important role in education and workforce training and in the economy.
