Nancy Streim, Associate Vice President for School and Community Partnerships at Teachers College, told the newspaper that TC's proposed pre-K-8 public school (which is likely to open in September 2011 in northern Manhattan), could feature charter-style approaches like a longer school day and intensive summer terms.
