CTSC Implements Study-Tour for 14 Bulgarian Teachers
The Teachers College Center for Technology and School Change (CTSC) successfully implemented study-tour on technology and education for 14 Bulgarian high school teachers.
In fall 2013, OIA in partnership with the Center
for Technology and School Change (CTSC) and the Institute of International
Education (IIE) successfully implemented an in-residence, three-week
professional development study-tour on technology and education for 14
Bulgarian high school teachers. This study-tour was an integral component of the
IIE's Bulgaria Young Leaders Program (BYLP), launched in 2011. Ellen Meier, Co-Director of the CTSC, and her team
of educators led the Bulgarian teachers in a rigorous seminar on
interactive classroom technology and innovative pedagogical methods. Additionally,
the teachers were given the opportunity to conduct intensive classroom
observations in several New York City schools.
