A Message from the Office of the Vice President for Diversity and Community Affairs
To the TC Community,
I wanted to call your attention to the most recent update from Columbia’s Special Advisor on Sexual Assault Prevention and Response, Professor Suzanne Goldberg, in which she addresses recent questions that CU students have raised about sexual assault and gender-based misconduct. The update is in response to the recently released revised CU Gender-Based Misconduct Policy for Students (which applies to students at Columbia, Barnard, and Teachers College) and provides overviews on recent resource developments and ongoing prevention efforts.
These issues, as you know, are important – both at the University and across the nation. As TC’s Title IX Coordinator, I encourage you to read these updates thoroughly.
Teachers College administrators continue to work with student representatives, faculty and staff to ensure that the safety, security, well-being and education of our students and community members are paramount. If you have questions about the policy or TC’s prevention efforts, please contact me.
Janice S. Robinson,
Vice President for Diversity and Community Affairs; TC’s Title IX Coordinator
