Alumna Azadeh Jamalian: Learning Games Better When Paired With Hand Gestures
In an interview with Yahoo News' "Fatherly" blog, alumna Azadeh Jamalian, (Ph.D., Cognitive Studies), says kids learn more from using computer learning games if they're paired with hand gestures. In 2012 Jamalian co-created Tiggly, which develops learning systems and tablet-based games that combine learning toys with specially developed, interactive apps. Tiggly products build on 70 years of academic research highlighting that manipulating physical objects is essential to early childhood development.
