Sebastian Junger to Speak at TC
On Friday, November 4th, Teachers College will host a conversation with the award-winning author and journalist Sebastian Junger from 6 to 8 pm in the Cowin Conference Center. Junger will discuss his new book, Tribe: On Homecoming and Belonging (Hachette Book Group, 2016), with Peter Coleman, Professor of Psychology & Education and Director of TC’s Morton Deutsch International Center for Cooperation and Conflict Resolution (ICCCR) and Columbia University faculty member Beth Fisher-Yoshida, who directs the university’s Negotiation and Conflict Resolution program.
Junger is best known as the author of The Perfect Storm: A True Story of Men Against the Sea (W.W. Norton, 1997), which in 2000 was made into the movie “The Perfect Storm.” He also chronicled the war in Afghanistan in the documentaries “Restrepo” and “Korengal.”
The event is cosponsored by ICCCR and TC’s Masters Program in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution.
