In keeping with the State of the College meeting’s emphasis on the productive harmony among TC’s many departments and programs, a multidisciplinary quartet performed an adaptation of “Nature Boy,” the Nat King Cole standard.

Vocalist Trineice Robinson-Martin (Ed.D. ’10) was accompanied by Haruko Nara Yoshizawa (Ed.D. ’99) on piano; former TC Video Services Coordinator and current Music Education Instructor Angela Miranda (Ed.D. ’96) on drums; and TC Professor of Statistics & Education James Corter on bass.  

For the second year in a row, Fuhrman – introduced by TC Student Senate President Chloe Dawson -- was also the affectionate focus of lyrics set to the Gilbert & Sullivan’s “He is the Very Model of a Modern Major General.” Originally conceived by Drew X. Coles (Ed.D. ’17), this year’s pre-taped version, sung by a group of TC Music & Music Education students under the direction of faculty member Jeanne Goffi-Fynn, recapped the achievements of the past 10 years, concluding “Let’s raise a cup and give it up for TC’s lovely President.”
