Dear Members of the TC Community:

We have come to the end of a fall semester like no other—I think it’s safe to say that it has been more complex, but also in some ways filled with even more joy and gratitude, than any we have yet experienced. I want to express my deepest thanks to all of you for everything you have done to sustain such a caring and engaged community of teaching, learning, research, practice, and camaraderie, all while upholding the measures that have kept us safe and healthy.

I know that some of you may be disappointed that we have to move online for the first weeks of classes in January—I am as well. Please be assured that we are committed to an in-person spring semester and I am confident that by practicing the flexibility and resolve we’ve grown accustomed to, we will be able to safely resume classes on campus on Monday, January 31. I am looking forward to seeing all of you in the new year, and to welcoming in person the students who are brand new to TC, as well as those who have been remote since March of 2020. 

Until then, I wish those who celebrate a warm and wonderful Christmas and Kwanzaa and I hope you all have a restful, relaxing break. Thank you for making this a community I am proud to be a part of, and for all you do to create a smarter, healthier, more equitable world.
