Child Protection Lab

Welcome to the Child Protection, under the direction of Professor David M. Mantell, Ph.D. We are housed in the Department of Counseling and Clinical Psychology, Teachers College, Columbia University in New York City. The lab is devoted to the protection of children exposed to the legal system as well as develop deeper comprehension of crimes involving children. As a certified Forensic Child Protection Evaluator, Dr. David M. Mantell is able to provide real world questions from the courtroom to help direct our projects to answer these questions. Many of our projects provide insight into the field of Child Welfare Psychology. Our elective programming provides opportunities for students to gain valuable experience in clinical and forensic psychology.
