Dr. Louis Klarevas is Research Professor at Teachers College, Columbia University, and the author of Rampage Nation: Securing America from Mass Shootings (2016). In the past, he has taught at American University, George Washington University, City University of New York, New York University, and the University of Massachusetts–Boston. He has also held the positions of Defense Analysis Research Fellow at the London School of Economics and Political Science and as United States Senior Fulbright Scholar in Security Studies at the University of Macedonia. One of the leading authorities on mass shootings and school violence in the United States, he is currently an advisor to nine state Attorneys General on gun violence and firearm laws as well as a consultant to the federal government on public safety and security issues.
