Scholarly Interests
Dr. DeRose is a developmental and school psychologist with interests in the social and emotional development of children, adolescents, and emerging adults. She holds her doctoral degree in Developmental Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University, where she was a Graduate Research Fellow at the National Center for Children and Families. Dr. DeRose’s scholarly work has focused on mental health during the pubertal transition, parenting practices, and social adjustment in children with learning and developmental disabilities.
