Biographical Information
Dr. Michael J Koski is an adjunct Associate Professor of Psychology and Education in the department of Clinical and Counseling Psychology as well as an adjunct Assistant Professor of Applied Psychology at the Steinhardt School, New York University.
He received his PhD in Counseling Psychology at Teachers College in 1998 after completing a pre doctoral internship at the Manhattan Veterans Medical Center.
Dr. Koski worked over 30 years as a teacher and guidance counselor for the NYC Department of Education. He is a licensed psychologist with post doctoral training in psychoanalysis.
Currently Dr. Koski provides clinical supervision for doctoral students in Counseling Psychology and teaches a course each Spring on group work with children and adolescents to students in the school Psychology program.
Dr. Koski spent over ten years providing group therapy to people with AIDS and currently for adult children caring for a parent with dementia.
