This website is run by Nathaniel Dodson who is a young web designer and music, fashion, and portrait photographer. His tutorials are easy to follow and understand. There are also articles on design inspiration and more.

Figma is a vector graphics editor and prototyping tool which is primarily web-based, with additional offline features enabled by desktop applications for macOS and Windows. The Figma Mirror companion apps for Android and iOS allow viewing Figma prototypes on mobile devices. The feature set of Figma focuses on use in user interface and user experience design, with an emphasis on real-time collaboration.

Monica recently graduated from TC's Instructional Technology & Media doctoral program, and is now a UX Researcher at Amazon Alexa. She investigates interactive experiences between humans and voice assistants, in areas such as personalization, customization, and proactivity. Previously, her academic research focused on K-12 maker / STEAM education.

Digital Storytelling Workshop (Part 1) with Kyle Oliver

Introduction to digital storytelling by Kyle Oliver. Session 1, presented October 14 in the iDesign Lab.

The Storytelling & Presenting workshop is geared towards those who aim to learn storytelling skills and improve their presentation's quality.

 

Professional Development

The Portfolio Share & Feedback workshop asked students to complete the asynchronous Portfolio Workshop (link here), complete a new or existing portfolio, and present their portfolio to a panel of experienced designers to then receive feedback.

Students in the Instructional Design Jam workshop series are collaboratively designing an online course to support CMLTD students' professional development.

The first part of the workshop series, phase 1 - Needs Assessment was held over three sessions (April 8th ~ 22nd) during the Spring 2022 semester. The Needs Assessment shared document can be found here.

The second part of the workshop series, Design and Development, was held during the Fall 2022 semester. Three projects were developed for students at various stages of career development:
