What is Cayuse?

Cayuse is a comprehensive  platform for conflict of interest (COI) disclosure management and research administration. The platform is a single sign-on system that is accessed through the myTC Portal using your UNI and password.

COI Disclosure Management

Cayuse allows for full oversight and storage of the disclosure forms and management plans for all employees. The annual and research disclosure forms will be completed in Cayuse by employees, and housed within the system as well. Additional functions include:

  • Sending all users automated email reminders at the beginning of the annual cycle and throughout the cycle. 
  • Sending Area Designees and Reviewers from each department a notification email to review a submitted disclosure form from their units.
  • Storing management plans for potential or actual conflicts.

Research Administration

The Cayuse system provides oversight and administration of funding portfolios, both on the pre-award and post-award levels. This includes system-to-system federal grant submissions, internal approvals of proposals, and full management of grant and contract budgets, and expenditures to help ensure proper financial and research compliance policies and procedures.
