Ashley is a doctoral candidate of Applied Linguistics at Teachers College, Columbia University, specializing in second language acquisition (SLA). Her main research interests include task-based language teaching, child SLA, and individual differences. She teaches graduate-level courses related to language acquisition and pedagogy, and has eight years of teaching experience with language learners located around the world, including Argentina, Afghanistan, Pakistan and the Bronx, NY.
